Motor Distributors Limited (Mercedes-Benz) is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Mercedes-Benz C Class model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby the screw connection of the steering coupling may not comply with the specifications. In such cases the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering box might loosen, leading to a loss of steering and increasing the risk of an accident.

There are 51 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 02 March 2022 to 23 July 2025.

A safety issue has been identified whereby a defect in the inflator of the driver airbag (Takata) causes uncontrolled inflation and the release of metal fragments when the airbag is deployed, which can cause injury to the occupants.

There are 1,870 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 03 December 2002 and 24 February 2006.

Motor Distributors Limited (Mercedes-Benz) is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Mercedes-Benz model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby an improperly reworked fuse box may lead to breaks in contact or incorrect fuse ratings. In such a case, systems connected to the fuse could fail. For example, the vehicle could lose drive without warning, or restraint systems or the instrument cluster could be compromised. This increases the risks of accident and injury. A fire risk can also not be excluded.

A safety issue has been identified whereby in certain vehicles Mercedes-Benz AG has found that in certain EQE SUV (294) vehicles the wheel cover fixings might not be able to take the strain while the vehicle is being driven. This could cause them to become detached from the vehicle’s wheels, increasing the risk of accident and injury to other road users.

Motor Distributors Limited (Mercedes-Benz) is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Mercedes-Benz GLC model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby certain bolt connections in the dashboard area might not have been tightened in accordance with current torque specifications. Depending on the affected bolt connection, the restraining effect of the driver or passenger airbag or knee airbag might be impaired. As a result, in the event of an accident involving airbag deployment, the risk of injury to the occupants of the vehicle would be increased. If the bolting for the 12V electric auxiliary heater connections is affected, a risk of fire cannot be ruled out.
