Mazda Motor Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Mazda MX-5 vehicles.
A safety issue has been identified whereby the vehicle may experience cracking in the fuel hose due to insufficient retention force in the brackets. This occurs when the engine runs at high speeds, causing vibrations that lead to the resonating of the hose. This leak poses a risk of causing a fire in the vehicle.
There are 168 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland.
