Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Capri and Explorer model vehicles.

The risk description reported to us is that the seat back may become detached as a result of a faulty screw connection, which may increase the risk of injury in the event of an accident.

 

There are 3 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 18 August 2024 and 19 September 2025.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Tourneo Connect and Transit Connect model vehicles.

Vehicles may experience potential freezing of the screen of the front entertainment module while the vehicle is in motion. If the screen of the front entertainment module freezes while the vehicle is in motion, it may shut down and restart several times before turning black. After the vehicle is started, this temporary fault may result in the reversing camera malfunctioning and in warnings about the unavailability of the parking sensors and the emergency call function being shown on the dashboard. Systems that are controlled using the central screen, such as heating, seat heating and ventilation, may not work. A frozen reversing camera may give the false impression that the area behind the vehicle is clear, despite the presence of people or obstacles there, which increases the risk of accident and injury.

 

There are 273 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 17 August 2023 and 27 March 2024.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Ford Fiesta, Puma, Tourneo Courier and Transit Courier model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby the fuel line may chafe against surrounding components and develop a leak. Fuel leaking onto hot components in the engine compartment may ignite and cause a fire.

There are 5080 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 19 November 2021 and 24 September 2024.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Kuga model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby for some vehicles, there could be a manufacturing defect in one or more of the high voltage battery cells, which cause the cell to develop an internal short circuit. The internal battery short circuit occurs over longer running periods, because the internal battery separator becomes damaged over time by repeated charging and discharging cycles of the cells. There is a risk of fire. There may also be a loss of propulsion power, which increases the risk of accidents.

There are 2,712 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 20 August 2019 and 28 November 2023.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Transit Courier, Tourneo Courier model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby a contact between the coupling nut of the brake line and the fuel tank may cause a leak in one of the brake lines. In the event of leakage, the driver is warned by a red warning light and/or the tell-tales on the instrument cluster. The vehicle has two diagonal brake line circuits. In the event of failure of a brake line circuit, the vehicle may be stopped by the function of the second circuit, where the reduced braking performance still meets the homologated minimum requirements. Damage to the fuel tank and possible leakage of fuel cannot be ruled out. It is possible that flammable liquids could come into contact with a hot surface (exhaust pipe).

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Transit Connect model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby the rear axle may not be sufficiently lubricated. Insufficient lubrication may lead to a malfunction of the wheel bearings and therefore cause the rear wheels to lock, which may lead to a loss of control of the vehicle. There is an elevated risk of an accident.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Tourneo Connect and Transit Connect model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby if the rear brake pipe is not correctly screwed together, brake fluid may be lost and the brake circuit may even fail. This makes an accident more likely. 

There are 18 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 07 August 2024 and 28 August 2024.
