Petzl Distribution SAS is carrying out a recall on NEWTON, NEWTON FAST and NEWTON EASYFIT Harnesses – European Versions.

There are images of the European Versions of the NEWTON, NEWTON FAST and NEWTON EASYFIT harnesses. There are also two images of the FAST LT buckles. There is a also bold red cross over the words 'NEWTON International versions'.

The risk reported to the CCPC is injuries. On the affected harnesses, the FAST LT buckle (see image above) is positioned at the chest and is used to fasten the harness. If the harness is attached via the dorsal point and the FAST LT buckle breaks, the harness becomes unfastened. If the user falls or is suspended in the harness, it is possible for them to completely exit the harness and fall to the ground.
